Please join us on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11am in Dublin, CA for a rally at Don Biddle Park at the intersection of Dublin Blvd. & Columbus St. This is a critical moment for the fight to stop the opening of a Dublin detention center.
We call on our communities to say NO to new detention centers in Northern California and across the US. This family-friendly action will feature powerful speakers, arts and crafts for kids, and opportunities to take action together.

Cupertino - Toyokawa Sister Cities
Community Bell Ringing for Peace

The Cupertino-Toyokawa Sister Cities and City of Cupertino host a Bell Ringing for World Peace ceremony recognizing 80 years of peace between the US and Japan. In addition to the well-known atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki during WWII, Cupertino’s sister city of Toyokawa, Japan was also bombed as it was the location of Japan’s Naval Armory. This is an annual event to ask the community to come together to ring bells for world peace.

The Fierce Nonviolence Pilgrimage
July 28 - August 7, 2025 (optional start: July 31)
Dandelion House is leading a young adult pilgrimage this summer to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing. The pilgrimage will combine a 16-hour training on nonviolent social change with visits with people and places in the Pacific Northwest impacted by the US nuclear arsenal, including Midnite Mine on the Spokane Reservation, the Hanford nuclear reactor site, and the Trident Submarine base on the Hood Canal.
